The American Lung Association of the Northeast has a Maine office located in Augusta. The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
The Maine office hosts the Trek Across Maine cycling event, which takes place on Father's Day Weekend each year and raises $1.7 million dollars. All monies raised stay in Maine to support the work of the American Lung Association.
