The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society is one of the largest animal shelters in the state of Maine. Over 25 employees and 300 volunteers help care for the over 5,000 animals we take in annually. GAHS is fortunate to be a no-kill shelter thanks to our hardworking employees, volunteers and community members.
