Mobility Technologies believes everybody should be able to enjoy exercise - we eliminate the barriers that some people face.
Our flagship product is the Afari, and it is the only mobility product that allows people to walk comfortably, naturally, upright, without leaning or hunching over. The large tires enable use over diverse terrain - trails, cobblestone, beaches, snow. You could even run with the Afari.
Our co-founders Liz and Stephen invented the first Afari prototype in order to run a 5K. They are both active, have issues with standing balance, and enjoy exercising outside instead of on a treadmill. The Afari today is a seventh generation prototype, developed by a team of engineers and clinical researchers, and which offers benefit to a number of diagnoses.
Mobility Technologies recently launched the Afari in January 2017. During our rollout, our growth team will be educating providers about Afari benefits and offering opportunities to evaluate the Afari.
In 2018, we plan to expand awareness of Afari into New England, with Maine being the hub for operations. We will be seeking people who are willing to travel within New England to educate about Afari and to support evaluations. We will also need support in expanding our manufacturing operation.
The R&D team is also looking to develop more clinical partnerships for other products currently under development.
